About this opportunity

As an Assistant Aquatic Operations and Facility Supervisor at our pool, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of all aquatic facilities. You will be responsible for assisting the Aquatic Operations and Facility Supervisor in managing day-to-day pool operations, staff supervision, and ensuring an enjoyable experience for all patrons. This position offers an exciting and fun opportunity to contribute to the success of our aquatic facility and promote water safety and recreation.

What you will bring to the role

By joining our team, you will bring the following/ideally you will have:

  • Lifeguard certification
  • CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Prior experience in lifeguarding and pool operations is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to respond swiftly in emergency situations.
  • Basic computer skills for administrative tasks.

First Aid and Lifeguard Training

You must hold a valid First Aid Certificate valid until 11 March 2025 for your lifeguard qualification to be accredited.

First Aid Training

  • Wednesday 21 August, First Aid, Alexandra, 6.00 – 8.00 pm, $170
  • Sunday 25 August, First Aid, Alexandra, 9.30 – 11.30 am, $170
  • Wednesday 28 August, First Aid, Yea, 6.00 – 8.00 pm, $170

Please note: 3 hours of online course work is required to be completed prior to attending the course.

Lifeguard and Lifeguard Refresher Training

  • 7 and 8 September – Lifeguard Training, Seymour, 8.30 am – 5.00 pm, $360 (CPR included)
  • 14 September – Lifeguard Refresher, Seymour, 8.30 am – 5.00 pm, $180 (CPR included)
  • 15 September – Lifeguard Refresher, Seymour, 8.30 am – 5.00 pm, $180 (CPR included)

Please note: Training is at your own cost; you will be invoiced for payment by Council.

Compulsory Council Training dates

  • 9 November, Council induction and in-pool skills competency training, Eildon, 9.00 am – 5.00 pm
  • 10 November, Marysville Pool Induction, Marysville Pool, 9.00 am – 12.00 noon
  • 10 November, Eildon Pool Induction, Eildon Pool, 9.00 am – 12.00 noon
  • 10 November, Alexandra Pool Induction, Alexandra Pool, 2.00 – 5.00 pm
  • 10 November, Yea Pool Induction, Yea Pool, 2.00 – 5.00 pm

Please note: you will only be required to attend one pool induction and returning staff will only be required to attend the first 1.5 hours of pool inductions on 10 November.

Pool Season

16 November 2024 - 10 March 2025.
