As the local government elections will be held on 26 October 2024, Murrindindi Shire Council will assume a caretaker role from Tuesday 17 September 2024. During the Election Period, there will be limited changes made to the content on Council's websites. Information will only be added to this website in accordance with our Election Period Policy.

Our Kerbside Collection Service is Changing in July 2025

In July 2025, Council will introduce a new four-bin waste and recycling system, in line with the Victorian Government's policy requirements, which aims to enhance waste management practices, reduce landfill waste, and minimise greenhouse gas emissions.

The four-bin system

The four-bin system will include food and garden organics, mixed recycling, glass recycling and general rubbish. Learn more about these services.
