The Great Victorian Bike Ride will celebrate its 40th year with a historic journey across northeast Victoria from Saturday 23 November to Sunday 1 December.

The Great Vic is Australia’s biggest and most iconic bike-riding holiday – offering three, five, and nine-day ride options.

Each year, seasoned adventurers and new riders come together to share camaraderie, camping and cycling through some of the most scenic landscapes and towns of Victoria.

In 2024, the ride will begin in Wodonga and travel 501 km taking in the picturesque Victorian towns of Myrtleford, Wangaratta, Mansfield, Alexandra and Marysville, finishing in Healesville.

Murrindindi Shire Council is proud to be hosting the Great Victorian Bike Ride in 2024 with overnight stops in Alexandra on Friday 29 November and Marysville on Saturday 30 November. The ride will explore the hills and valleys of Victoria’s High Country region and is expected to bring more than 2500 riders to our Shire.

The Great Vic is an all-included holiday that suits bicycle tourers, bike packers, adventure seekers, families, schools, and the nostalgic. This year’s 40th anniversary ride will take riders on quiet roads and scenic rail trails. It’s worth crossing state borders for.
