Mayor issues warning on battery disposal

Road Closure - Taggerty-Thornton Road

Taggerty-Thornton Road is closed between Taggerty and Thornton due to emergency electricity powerline works southwest of Rubicon Road. Avoid the area and seek an alternate route via Maroondah Highway and/or Goulburn Valley Highway.

Marysville RV Rest Stop

Council and Gallipoli Park Precinct Committee of Management are launching a trial RV Rest Stop in Marysville starting on 1 February 2025. Located in Gallipoli Park, near the intersection of Falls Road and Mt Kitchener Avenue, this six-space site will cater to fully self-contained recreational vehicles (RVs) with a maximum stay of 72 hours.

NBN equipment installation underway in Marysville

Marysville is receiving a major internet upgrade through the Connecting Victoria Program. Ventia, engaged by NBN Co, is installing Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) technology, with 21 km of optic fibre and 234 installations completed.

Proposed name for splash park highlights cultural significance

The Eildon Reserves Redevelopment is nearing completion, with a grand opening planned for early 2025. A key highlight of this project is the proposal to name the new splash park and playground area Baanh ba Djila, which means ‘Water and Play’ in the Taungurung language.
