List an event
There are two ways events can be listed on our website, depending on the event. The two types of event are community events and tourism events.
Community events are generally smaller scale, organised by volunteers and community groups, primarily for the benefit of the community. Examples include community group and service club meetings, sporting club events, special interest group gatherings and community workshops. Events under this category are listed on Council’s website only. To submit an event, you will need to register an account first.
List your community event
Tourism events tend to be larger scale and attract both locals and visitors. They usually involve significant planning and often require permits from Council and other agencies for things such as temporary road closures, food and beverage services and access to public land. Examples include markets, festivals, exhibitions and sporting events. Events under this category are listed on multiple tourism-based websites through the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW), including Discover Dindi, Tourism North East and Visit Victoria, as well as on Council’s website.
