Jodi moved to Kinglake in 2023 after residing in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne for over 20 years. As a proud member of the beautiful Kinglake community, Jodi is a consultative and progressive advocate as your representative on the Murrindindi Shire Council. This is her first experience being elected as a Councillor.
Since moving to the beautiful surrounds of Kinglake, Jodi has participated in community groups, including volunteering at the Foggy Mountain Festival, leadlighting classes and creating Boomerang Bags. She enjoys spending time on artistic endeavours combined with exploring local and surrounding areas as part of her self-care and understands the importance of community, creativity and connection. She is passionate about live music and has volunteered in a variety of roles at different music festivals.
As a councillor, Jodi will uphold her commitment to transparency through information sharing to the local community.
Jodi has personal lived experience in a caring role. She currently holds a variety of positions, employed as a Mental Health Carer Peer Worker, disability support worker and lived experience advisor. As a strong advocate and consumer representative for national and local advisory groups alongside Palliative Care Australia and the Consumer Advisory Group for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, she has a voice to contribute to improving services, identifying additional barriers for those living in regional and rural areas.
Her experience working with some of the most vulnerable people in communities has made her passionate about promoting quality of life and connection for residents of all ages and differing circumstances. She is committed to listening to residents and working towards improving an improved, stronger and more resilient Murrindindi Shire.
