Total Fire Ban Day - Council Service Disruptions

An Extreme Fire Danger rating and Total Fire Ban has been declared for today, Monday 16 December for Murrindindi Shire.

For the safety of our staff and community, we have limited some of our services today, including:

• Waste services - our Resource Recovery Centres at Alexandra and Marysville are closed today, with our other locations usually closed on Mondays.
• Maternal and Child Health and Family Day Care services - we have postponed/rescheduled some of our regular services, and all impacted clients have been contacted.
• Swimming Pools - all pools remain open at this stage, however we will be monitoring conditions throughout the day.

We encourage our community to be aware of the risks today. Remember for emergency assistance call the SES on 132 500. To report hazards on Council roads, call (03) 5772 0333.
