Road closures for upcoming Marysville events

Get ready for an exciting November, with three big events coming to the Marysville region!

  • Marysville Marathon: Saturday 9 to Sunday 10 November
  • Giro Della Donna cycling event: Friday 22 to Sunday 24 November
  • Great Victorian Bike Ride: Saturday 30 November to Sunday 1 December

These events are a wonderful chance to showcase our beautiful region and support local businesses and community groups.

Heads up! There will be road closures and detours in Marysville and across the Shire, so make sure to check the details below and plan ahead.

Marysville Marathon

Sunday 10 November

  • Falls Road will be closed to Steavenson Falls from 8.00 am - 1.00 pm

Giro Della Donna

The following roads in will be closed due to the Giro Della Donna cycling event.

Friday 22 November

  • Murchison Street between Pack Road and Lyell Street: All day closure

Saturday 23 November

  • Murchison Street between Pack Road to Marysville Buxton Road roundabout: 9.50 - 10.15 am
  • Lyell Street to Darwin Street: 2.30 - 7.30 pm
  • Darwin Street to Murchison Street: 2.30 - 7.30 pm
  • Murchison Street between Darwin Street and Pack Road: 2.30 - 7.30 pm

Sunday 24 November

  • Murchison Street between Pack Road and Lyell Street: 12 midnight - 8.00 pm
  • Acheron Way from Marysville Road to Mount Donna Buang road and Mount Donna Buang: 7.40 am - 11.30 am
  • Woods Point Road, Upper Yara Road to Cumberland Junction: 9.30 am - 2.30 pm
  • Marysville Woods Point Road, Cumberland Junction to Lake Mountain: 10.00 am - 2.30 pm
  • Lake Mountain Road from Marysville Road: 11.00 am - 2.30 pm

Great Victorian Bike Ride

The following roads will be closed due to the Great Victorian Bike Ride.

Saturday 30 November

  • Skyline Road from Taylor Bay Road to UT Creek Road: 6.30 - 11.00 am

Sunday 1 December

  • Marysville Road from Dowdle Road to Acheron Way: 6.00 - 9.30 am
  • Maroondah Highway from Blackspur Caravan Park to Selover’s Lookout (Healesville): 6.30 - 11.00 am
