Grazing goats helping clear up the Wetlands

Have you met Council’s munchiest and crunchiest contractors? Two Girls & their Goats have been helping clean up flood-impacted areas at the Yea Wetlands.

 

Weeds are a big threat to biodiversity, both on land and in water. They compete with native plants for space, nutrients and sunlight. Weeds seeds are easily spread over large areas of lands by floodwaters making invasive species difficult to manage.
