Council will soon be seeking expressions of interest from residential developers to develop two Council-owned sites in Alexandra for key worker housing, 174 Grant Street and 94 Nihil Street.

These sites were identified as suitable for development in Council's Key Worker Housing Strategy, which aims to support local industry and provide a pathway for the development of safe, secure, and suitable housing for all residents.

Our intention is to maintain ownership of the land and enter a long-term lease or joint venture arrangement to secure key worker housing.

Community members can provide feedback or seek more information on this lease proposal up to 21 August 2024 by emailing customer@murrindindi.vic.gov.au or by calling Amanda Vogt, Manager of Governance and Risk on (03) 5772 0333.

Residential developers interested in developing these sites are encouraged to register with Council's e-tendering portal.

Registered businesses will receive an email notification when each Expression of Interests process commences.
