Council has an exciting opportunity for multiple enthusiastic and passionate School Crossing Supervisors to assist students and families to travel safely to and from school.
We are currently seeking friendly and enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about ensuring the safety of children to become part of our team
About this opportunity
As a School Crossing Supervisor, you will play a vital role in assisting children, families, and pedestrians in safely crossing roads at designated school crossings. Your responsibilities will include supervising and monitoring crossings during designated shift times, promptly reporting any incidents, accidents, near misses, or potential risks that occur, and always maintaining a high level of awareness and professionalism.
What you will bring
Good verbal communication skills. Previous experience working with children and the general public highly regarded.
Ability to instruct and direct users of school crossings in a safe and professional manner.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions and without supervision.
Ability to work within clearly defined procedures, policies and regulations.
Ability to meet physical requirements of the role.
A good understanding and a basic knowledge of legislation relative to their duties.
