Community Planning

Community Planning is a Council program that supports communities within Murrindindi Shire to develop their own community plan. The community plan is developed by local people and will be brought to life by local people.

Community members work together to set out their vision and local priorities, with support from Council. Each community plan is different – designed by and for that community. Community plans are realistic and sustainable and can be implemented over a period of time.

Through the process of building a community plan, people enjoy new opportunities to get to know each other and talk about their neighbourhood, resulting in a more connected and resilient community. Participants also have opportunities to directly partner with Council and advocate for the things that are important to them and their neighbours.
